Insulin resistance is also a major cause of leptin resistance and leptin is the hormone that tells your brain to burn fat.
It’s a major problem when we become resistant because too much sugar and too much grain causes not only a spike in our insulin, but it also causes inflammation and inflammation is another major cause of leptin resistance. Too much processed food and too many chemicals in our diet and that destroys the balance of good and bad bacteria in our gut. When we have an imbalance of good and bad bacteria, guess what that does?
